Our Rally to Fishing Haven, Palmers Island, near Yamba was once again very successful with 6 club member vans attending and one couple visiting. They were Kath’s sister and brother-in-law who seemed to really enjoy our group. The communal lunch at the caravan park once again proved that we have some great cooks in the club. Happy hour each evening was around a lovely warm firepit from where we witnessed some amazing sunsets over the water. The nights were quite chilly though.

Most people visited Yamba and some went to Maclean, Angourie and Iluka exploring.

Quite a few went fishing from the pontoon with only Bob catching any “keepers”. Others caught some to throw back to grow bigger. Bob also caught some catfish with one causing him some grief and 3 trips to hospital. He was all good by the end of the rally.
